It is the policy of the Sovereign Group Limited to conduct its normal business activities in a manner that minimises its impact on the environment, and to instruct and train its personnel accordingly.
Compliance with current environmental legislation shall be strictly observed at all times and considered a minimum standard.
We shall endeavour to continually improve our environmental performance where possible by energy management and the purchase of materials from sustainable sources. The prevention of pollution will be an integral part of working practices.
Wherever possible, waste materials shall be separated and allocated for recycling, and a registered carrier will transfer any waste that cannot be re-used to a licensed waste disposal site. Any waste products that are covered by the Special Waste Regulations 1996 will be disposed of accordingly.
Where able materials that are known to have an adverse environmental effect shall be either avoided or substituted for less damaging alternatives. If this is not possible their use will be kept to an absolute minimum and strictly controlled.
Current systems and procedures form the basis of the company’s continuing drive towards improving the environment. These systems will be reviewed periodically or with any changes to legislation.
