The Sovereign Group always have a stand at the prestigious ‘Chartered Institute of Housing Annual Exhibition and Conference’ in Harrogate, Yorkshire. In 2006 this takes place between the 20th and 23rd June.
We always exhibit in Hall B, Stand No 119. The Exhibition itself is the perfect venue for us to meet with our customers of both short and long standing and for us to introduce new improved methods of working and exciting developments within The Sovereign Group. It also gives us the chance to meet with our regular suppliers and to update on any new developments within our supply chain.
We stay at Aldwark Manor outside Harrogate and this venue gives us the opportunity to mix with our business partners and supply chain partners in relaxed and convivial surroundings. We hope to see you in 2006.
Sovereign Commercial have introduced a new Manager within their current H&S with the introduction of Terri Cox. It is hoped that the introduction of this role will emphasise Sovereign’s commitment to health and safety and provide confidence to their clients that Sovereign are a market leader in more ways than one.
Terri is a highly qualified and experienced registered safety practitioner. Terri will work closely with the Contract Managers to make Sovereign Commercial’s sites the safest possible. Terri’s role is to visit all the Sovereign Commercial sites and ensure that all their contractors are abiding to the stringent health and safety that is required.
Within the installation of windows and doors there are lot of key high risk hazards including working at height, slips, trips and falls as well as the issues associated with handling glass. The need to ensure that sites are as safe as possible is one that cannot be taken lightly.
Clients need to be sure that the contractors they select are aware of health and safety and what is required to ensure that they are not working in unsafe ways that could affect anyone within the immediate site areas.
Terri will be visiting the sites and ensuring that there are no significant hazards and that suitable and adequate controls are in place to ensure everyone’s safety.
This role will benefit all parties, making sure that contractors are working safely without placing residents, members of the public and themselves at risk.
