Sovereign Group welcomes dialogue with client partners and carries out a Satisfaction Survey on completion of each contract with the aim of evolving working practices and improving Best Value targets (see Key Performance Indicators).
Sovereign Group has carried out many installations where close attention to contract and pre-construction procedures has played a significant role in pinpointing and immediately rectifying any problems – often before the work has begun. This shows how adherence to strict procedures, some of which are listed in brief below, can dramatically reduce the risk of contingency.
First, a detailed survey is carried out and each opening thoroughly examined to establish designs, specifications and sizes. This data is discussed with client and Resident Consultation Groups, before being passed on as manufacturing information.
Provision of sample windows, Resident Consultations and/or pilot installations ensure all parties are fully informed and satisfied with the standards and specifications of the contract.
The Group, where it is principal contractor, will develop a Health & Safety plan or alternately, if acting as subcontractor, provide Method Statements, Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments.
Fitting personnel will be fully briefed on requirements, including any specific client needs, and each is provided an Induction Pack.
The Group will provide a Foreman or Site Supervisor taking day-to-day responsibility for site operations and client contact. A Contracts Manager will visit the site frequently and take overall responsibility for programme compliance and contractual matters.
Once the installation is completed, an information pack containing operational and maintenance details will be provided.
